A Cibeles Fashion Reporter for A Day

Madrid, 20 September.-

Attending the fashion show of a big-name designer like Elio Berhanyer at the Cibeles Fashion Show is a privilege reserved for a select few. So last July 31st, the on-line version of the prestigious fashion magazine Vogue and Nokia teamed up to sponsor a contest whose winner would receive a VIP pass for the premier event in the Spanish fashion world, the Pasarela Cibeles, in addition to receiving a Nokia Nseries N93i.

The contest was held in the month of August and was well-received by vogue.es users. The winner, María Soto Carrero, realized her dream of becoming a fashion reporter for a day. From the front row of Elio Berhanyer’s show, María used the camera on her Nokia N93i to capture key images from the event. Later, the winner had backstage access, where she was able to see make-up artists and stylists at work on some of the most famous Spanish and international models.

It was a unique and unforgettable experience for María: “It's been a very special day. I had never been to a fashion show, and I was really impressed. Besides, I got to go backstage and see how they made up and did the hairstyling for models like Laura Sánchez or Ariadne Artiles. Vogue and Nokia really treated me great." The images taken by María Soto will be shown on the vogue.es and Nokia websites.
