CondéNet International announces CondéNet PhotoViewer
Soon to be adopted by all CondéNet International sites, and developed with Microsoft® Silverlight™ technology, this new service is already available on Style.it in Italy, and on the newly launched Vogue.ru in Russia.
CondéNet International, 13th October 2008; CondéNet International, the digital division of Condé Nast, is delighted to unveil its innovative CondéNet PhotoViewer online service, which is designed to further improve the online user experience enabling visitors a superior visual interaction, particularly useful in relation to the fashion show coverage that is core to so many of our sites. The new application has been developed using Microsoft® Silverlight™ technology, which offers users a new highly interactive multimedia experience, so with CondéNet PhotoViewer, visitors will experience digital content in a manner that is visually more appealing and much more detailed.
CondéNet PhotoViewer was launched first on the Italian site, Style.it, in conjunction with the 2009 Spring-Summer fashion shows and its catwalk galleries, followed by Russia, who has added this innovative web application to Vogue.ru, the Russian version of the Vogue web site.
“The launch of CondéNet PhotoViewer is a testament to the desire of CondéNet International to unite high-quality content and technological innovation in order to introduce exciting and inclusive online services to meet the high expectations of our target market. The challenge we face has always been that of offering the most authoritative content combined with the latest services.CondéNet PhotoViewer is just one of the many projects that CondéNet International is developing in order to provide a unique online experience for our visitors,” comments Stefano Maruzzi, President of CondéNet International.“This project is also an important example of our international strategy, which will enable us to develop new and original initiatives in multiple markets at the same time, while maintaining our focus on the style and quality that distinguish a publishing house such as Condé Nast,” Maruzzi concludes.
In relation to the Fashion Weeks coverage, the new CondéNet PhotoViewer presents allimages in high definition and offers an innovative, elegant slide show, which simulates the way the models make their entrance onto the runway. The new service also offers the possibility to significantly enlarge the images in order to see each collection in greater detail. In this way, site visitors can appreciate all the details that define the quality and originality of every piece of clothing and every accessory, almost as if they were right there in your hand.Just click on any detail – a label, a stitch, a button – and it will be magnified up to eight times without losing image quality.
The new CondéNet PhotoViewer will not only be invaluable for the on-going presentation of fashion content, but will also allow an overall enhanced visual experience across all the fields of editorial content offered by CondéNet International sites.
